Fix a certificate hostname mismatch
tls-cert-hostname
The name on the certificate does not cover the hostname being served, so clients reject it. Reissue with the right subject alternative names.
Why this matters
Your SSL certificate doesn't match your domain name. Browsers show a security warning that blocks visitors. Not exploitable — MitM requires users to bypass explicit browser warnings.
Web servers
Nginx
- 1 Ensure the certificate covers the domain you're serving
- 2 Re-issue the certificate with the correct domain names
bash
# Re-issue with the correct domains
sudo certbot certonly --nginx -d example.com -d www.example.comDoes your app still have this?
